St Mary's Bazaar
I just got home from St Mary's Bazaar in Cook where I picked up what didn't sell. I won't know for a few weeks exactly how much I sold, but I do know I came home with a lot less doll clothes than I went with. I tried to work on getting my inventory back up today, but I have the Sunday afternoon lazy going on! I plan to sew Monday and Tuesday. Go to Cook Wed and get my hair cut, grocery shop for Thanksgiving. The kids are coming Friday afternoon. It's getting harder and harder for us to get together on the holiday, with everyone having jobs and other families. But as long as we can get together it doesn't matter what day. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Craft Sales
I slept so hard last night, I don't think I moved all night! I had a sale at the Hibbing Hospital Friday, left home at 4:30am, was set up and ready to sell by 6:30am. There was a steady stream of customers until it was over at 4pm. Packed up our stuff and drove over to Virginia. John met me at the Miners' Memorial Building and we set up for the Women of Today Show for Sat. Got my sore tired body home at 8pm. Long day, but I had so much fun! Saturday morning we woke up to a thick sheet of ice on everything. Thankfully my niece Katie was sharing a space with me at the show. She lives close to town and they didn't have the ice, so she took care of sales until I could get there at noon. It was another great sale. I enjoy visiting with the customers!
Now I am going to be sewing like a mad woman!! Orders to fill from the two shows, restock at Gilley's Naturals and get ready for our next show at Biwabik Dec 1. The doll clothes are fun and I love to sew, so it's like not work, lol

American Girl Halloween Doll Clothes
I could sew these doll clothes all day... well that's just what I did today! I love dolls, must be the kid in me. I decided to start sewing holiday clothing for the doll, got a late start on Halloween, but hope to get on Christmas right away. The three dresses are made from cotton fabric and trimmed in polyester lace. The tights and leotard are stretchy knit and the tuttu is from tulle.

I need a Clone
I think I need to be cloned! The Northwoods Grizzlies ordered 50 pair of mittens and 30 hats to sell in their store. This along with the fall craft sales starting and keeping Gilley's Naturals stocked with doll clothes, mittens and hats doesn't leave me much free time. And we have a new grandson; Evan Christopher, born June 14, and I just love having him come spend the day! I am busier than ever, but I love it!
This Saturday, September 29, I will be in Virginia at Holy Spirit Catholic Church for their annual October Fest. There will be 27 vendors, food, bingo and bake sale. 11am to 7pm. Plenty of time to get your shopping done!

ZIPPERS
A clothing manufacturer went out of business and we bid on some of their fabric and supplies. We didn't get any fabric but we did win the bid on some zippers. 1700 of them!! Well that is a lot of jacket zippers. Then I was contacted by a lady that had some sewing stuff left in her storage unit. Well if you know us, we can't pass up a deal. Cassandra and I went last Sat with an extended cab pickup with a topper. We came home with the topper and the backseat full, good thing I am short because Cassandra moved the seat all the way forward so she could fit more in!! Then she packed so well that the topper had no space left. That load yielded us between 3000 and 4000 zippers!! Bundles of white shoelaces, thread and some very nice fabric. I was able to start some little jumpers today. Cassandra made a bag with some of the zippers, very cute. Next week I should have some photos to post.
